Surprise! I had a secret shoot yesterday, but now I can reveal who my session was with! I had the opportunity to shoot Tyler Baltierra & Catelynn Lowell from MTV’s Teen Mom!!!!!! (Yes, it totally needed 6 exclamation points) These two are sooooooo cute together and really do make the perfect couple. They both compliment each other. We had a lot of fun during the shoot and chatted about everything from life, to buying a house, to the movie Bridesmaids. Tyler and Catelynn are very laid back and I’m so happy for their successes and am proud they are inspiring people everywhere. Tyler even tweeted my pic! Enjoy a little sneak peek from our session, but I can promise you there is MUCH more to come!

I deeply apologize my last post was in June of last year. How bad is that?!!! I really hope you’re following me on Facebook for the latest with me. It is a little easier to keep that up. Photographing, blogging, facebooking, family, editing…..I do a lot of things full-time so I hope you will let me slide this once!

Tarah & Jason are expecting! Tarah and I have been friends forever it seems like, but we actually met when we were both planning our weddings. I am so lucky to have her in my life! I was ecstatic when Jason and Tarah became pregnant and I’ve been cheering her along the way and ready to welcome her into the mommyhood club. They are keeping the gender a surprise until the baby arrives, which I love. The interesting part? Jason is the only one that knows the gender! He has had a lot of pressure from family and friends to tell, but he’s stayed strong and has only told one other person…their cat, Ani!
Isn’t their nursery to die for? That is the neatest baby’s room I have ever seen. Their inspiration was the tree you see in Tarah’s B&W belly pic. Jason painted the trees freehand and made the room into a lovely forest retreat. What an AMAZING job!
Whether a girl or a boy, baby M is already loved so much already and I can’t wait to meet him/her!

What an amazing family! The G family was so fun to photograph and I am so happy to share in their joy with Ethan. This family loves sports so it’s no surprise Ethan, and even Paul and Shawna showed their favorite team colors. I love how I was able to capture the little tender moments – a father so proud of his son and a mother relishing the moments that pass by too quickly. That is family, and that is everyday life.
Paul and Shawna are such loving parents. You could tell right away they are totally dedicated to Ethan and he is the center of their world. Paul is the fun, doting dad and Shawna is one of the strongest women I have ever met. Through adversity, this family has only grown stronger and appreciative of each and every day.
Thank you G family for letting me capture your beautiful family – you are so blessed.

Congratulations to the D family! Sarah and Shawn are so blessed with their new daughter, Riley. She is truly a great baby and was such a lovely poser for our session. She had a good mix of awake and sleeping photos. Do you see the blanket in the first couple shots? Sarah made that herself! I love the color! It is amazing to see a family grow – it is such a happy time and to share in the joy and be able to capture the little intimate moments just makes my day. I enjoyed my time with the D family and their newest member – thanks again Sarah and Shawn! Enjoy every little moment.

Are you all keeping warm? With the temperatures lately dipping to almost below zero here in Michigan, we all could use a HUGE mug of hot chocolate. Mmmmmm…Are you licking your monitor yet?!
In Pure Amour Photography news, things are busier than ever and dates are booking up fast! I am now booked for sessions until April! I am also booking into 2012 for weddings and portrait sessions.
For you brides to be out there, there is a very good possibility that I will be having a boudoir marathon sometime in April. I have already received a lot of interest, so check back here for an official announcement. I can tell you as soon as a date is set, email me to reserve your time. It will be a sellout. If I have enough interest, I may have to do a second boudoir marathon.
